The Mercedes CL 2011 bow is at Goodwood
We had a peek a couple of weeks ago at the 2011 Mercedes CL facelift after a photo of the AMG version leaked out, but Mercedes has decided to get on with the job and have a proper reveal this weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. And it this facelift for the Uber-Coupe will keep the CL moniker rather than changing to S Class Coupe as we expected. The big Mercedes Coupe is due in the UK by October and it gets the expected nip and tuck to keep it looking fresh.
The Mini story continues, with the announcement that a new entry-level Clubman, the Mini One Clubman, is to launch at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The Mini One Clubman comes with the same 1.4 litre engine as the Mini One, producing 95bhp and boasting the same suspension set-up as the Mini Coopers, which at least means the new Clubman One should be fun to throw around. The ‘See Through’ bonnet on the new Land Rover discovery
The idea that the new Land Rover Discovery family – which we’ll get a first look at in New York this month – will come with a see-through bonnet does seem like it’s a story we should have run on 1st April. But it’s not. In fact, the Transparent Bonnet virtual imaging Concept is an augmented reality view of what’s ahead when you’re off-road, so you have full visibility of what’s ahead and below the car.
